I think Spain has the best team...if they don't perform then Argentina or Brazil have the best chance. Obviously I want England to win...I could die happy...but you know with all the cheating referees, negative, defensive Italians, unfairly fast Africans and cunning, diving South Americans...what chance do we have? Pray for rain I guess.

Argetines have the best chance? Did you see any of their qualifying matches?

Yes they had a terrible campaign, but this was not due to their team more due to Maradona's inability to manage. This is what is holding them back but I still think they have a quality enough squad to compete. But as I said above, Spain are my favourites to win.

Not to mention, we are in the same group so I wouldnt mind seeing them not get out of the group stage at all.
Don't worry about England. The hype is already going to their heads. Already we have Joe Cole being compared to Messi , the media sharpening up the knives for Don Fabio and the wild over rating of the squad.

I mean, they've already earmarked the semi final v Brazil after winning the group and then beating Serbia and France and then "anything can happen" And this despite the fact that they've been outclassed and played off the park by both Brazil and Spain while under the tutelage of Don Fabio

Nope, what we have with England is blind xenophobic optimism and then bitter, cruel retribution when, inevitably, they lose Hopefully we can start the implosion process by beating them.

Now now Jaggy, the jealousy is showing & when it comes to xenophobia well Scotland can teach any country a thing or two.

If your players had'nt spent so much time getting pissed in the team hotel, you might have had a chance of qualifiying, but then you would'nt have had England to blame as usual would you.
I tell you what, stick to curling, you seem to have more success in that sport.

I think Spain will win, they're so dominant right now. I'm sure everyone has their money on Spain as well. I would love it if USA won, but it's a long shot. If not USA, then I'll be cheering for England and Netherlands all the way.

Spain would be great; however, they generally choke in the WC.

I'd like to see one of the African teams like S.Africa or Nigeria make a deep run - their crowds are great, and if they really have something to get excited about...
