FOUL SMELLING WATER - Hilton Head
I am absolutely shocked to find that many parts in south carolina, including hilton head, positively wreack from disgusting odor of sulfur in the water. It smells like sewage or rotten eggs everytime the fawcet or shower is turned on. Whereas many locals have come to make peace with rotten egg smell in the shower, in their food, and a general unpleaseant smell all around the house whenever a shower is taken, most of the country does not know this to be normal and would never accept it.
I am extremely well traveled the world over, and have lived in several states and I have never come across something so puzzling and baffling as the rancid disgusting water in Hilton Head South Carolina.
I am totally confused why any human on the face of this planet, much less the United States, would allow themselves to be subject to such daily torture.
It is absolutely gross.
Some claim that this foul rancid stale rotten egg smell will be there if you dont let your water run for a bit. But i am here to tell you that the water here is ran about 30min-1hr a day each and every day, and each and every minute it has the same gross nasty smell.
I am positively shocked that this can occur on Hilton Head with its nosebleed prices for everything. It is positively foul and the local South Carolinian ought to know that this is not the norm elsewhere in the country.
It is quite bizarree that it occurs and furthermore bizarree that SC put up with it, and even far more bizarre that no one bothers to do anything about it.

Well water smells like that in Florida, Georgia, Indiana.....
Perhaps, well traveled though you may be, this is the first time you have come across well water? It is high mineral content that gives the water that smell.

I'm glad you're 'extremely' traveled. I'm not sure if I've ever heard that said before. I've certainly never seen anyone refer to themselves as such. You must have extreme credibility because of your extreme travels.
Anyway, like evey said, this occurs all over the U.S., not just in Hilton Head.

Yep, I remember the awful smelling well water at my Grandmothers in southwest Texas. Even here in CA, with some of the most strictist water reg's, it can still smell a bit. In San Jose, CA their water feels like grease when you shower, gross!

Come to Connecticut, we have plenty of that smelly water. Especially those of us that have well water.
