Question The Great P-Nut Boil in Bonneau, SC

I was watching TV tonight and the host of a TV show was wearing a T-Shirt that had The Great P-Nut Boil and then a picture of a Peanut and at the bottom said Bonneau, SC. Is there anyone out there than knows about this Peanut Boil? Is there a web site for it or are there any official details about this? Please help!!!!

Hmmm...well, I grew up near Bonneau and still have family there but I've never heard of the Great P-nut Boil. LOL Maybe its something new. They do have good boiled peanuts there though.

The peanut boil was a festival held in Bonneau years ago. They stopped it when they widened US 52 to 4 lanes and never picked it back up after they finished highway contruction. Had a parade that started at Bonneau Baptist church and ended at the Post Office and the actual festivities where at the Rec park where the town hall is now. I think the last P-nut Boil Festival was around when I graduated High School in '95.

Edit: Wow i just realized how old this post was. Well maybe for future reference it might be relevant to someone
