I assume it's not as bad yet as in GA and NC. SC folk are not a wimpy.

Depends where you are and what you are doing. But we sadly lack enough jobs to even attract more illegals. I've spoken to a couple of people that think many are moving back. These are mainly people involved in construction, charities and an ESL teacher.

We do still have our fair share of legal immigrants.

It's pretty bad:

The Cacique of the Kiawah first encontered those foul-smelling jerks when their ship, The Adventure, docked in 1670; he was clever enough to talk 'em into moving about 50 miles up the coast to a place called 'Oyster Point', but since there were so many of them, and they breed like rats (the real anchor babies!), eventually the Stono, Cusabo- even the Yemasee (who did develop a taste for their flesh) were overwhelmed.

Only hope now is about a 20' rise in sea level.
