Hello ALL!

I'm hoping for some candid advice. I currently live in NY and I am in my final year of Graduate school in the Higher Education Administration.
I am interested in moving to North Carolina or South Carolina. (Don't know what part, as yet)
But I first want to know about the administration jobs in colleges....if anyone has any thoughts or advice, I would greatly appreciate it.
Particularily, what cities would prompt the most jobs/better salaries.
I don't have children and I am engaged already....my fiance' and I both are looking to move south for the modest cost of living and relaxing weather.

Also, do you think North Carolina would be better?

Thank you for your time.

Just as impatient in the SC forum as in the NC one, I see!

I am kind of thinking that the South, and the more laid-back, slowed-down, way of life is not a good fit for your personality--just guessing.

For the most part, there aren't plenty of ANY types of jobs in either NC or SC. More colleges around the Raleigh area.

Thank you Rothbear and Greenvillebuckeye. The comment about my personality and not being a good fit is an opinion that I could do without. I live in NY but I'm not from here so get a life.

I'd start with the three most prominent research universities: USC, Clemson, and Medical University of SC. If no luck there, try schools like Furman, Winthrop, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, etc.

Good luck!
