It affected a very small amount of the people with wells. Reverse osmosis makes the water safe for drinking.

I heard about that in Simpsonville but the water in Woodruff to me taste like metal. Either that or i'm just used to real crap water from NY Simpsonville to us is much more like the life we are used to. There are more stores, hustle bustle, etc...not like NY excitement but Woodruff.. how do I say... is distant. I went into a store the other day and I asked where Walmart is since there is one every 2 miles coming down through here... the woman told me she has never left Woodruff. The mall is 24 miles to the "nice" mall from Woodruff...it's a hop, skip and jump from Simpsonville.
I had to take my son to the hospital last night for an asthma attack. I was told to go to the better hospital...which was 30 miles away. That was a big down side for me
On the upside... the town does have nice people..the schools are great, etc. We haven't experienced what some people say about being invited to church or people just coming over with dishes of pie, etc.lol.... we met one neighbor across the street. Everyone passes and waves but that's it. I say One year and done here... off to Simpsonville we go

That is one thing you will find out that no one knows how too go any where.. They never seem too leave the town that they are from..
But you can't really get that lost here.. Yeah there is a lot of back roads but they pretty much end you back in too a area that you can find your way back home..
When I first moved down here I made sure I got in my car and just went looking around. I pretty much know how too get around too any place now. But then again it has been about 11yrs or so that I have lived here..

And you can pick it, too. Wild blackberries, wild plums, wild grapes....
Or grow it in your yard. I had corn, cukes, dill, more tomatoes than I know what to do with, 2 kinds of peppers, watermelon, raspberries, blueberries.
