For the last week I've been reading a lot of threads in the NC and SC forums. I don't know much about NC although I have heard and read about the job opportunities, quality of life, and it seems that the Charlotte area is a big draw for many people. Likewise, it appears that SC is also becoming highly desireable for people to relocate to for various reasons.
We decided to get out of the Wash, DC area earlier this year and as of next weekend (7/15) we are moving to N. Charleston, SC and will be eventually living in Summerville once our home is completed. It's a moot point for us since we are commited to SC, but I am very interested to learn what differences exist between the two areas.... both pro's and con's.
Originally, I am a Marylander (just outside of Wash, DC and not a yankee although both parents are Brooklyn and Bronx bred)
and have lived in the Stafford/Fredericksburg, VA area for the last 12 yrs.
