Does Any One Know About Catawba Sc We Are Looking Around . To See The Best Place For Us . Is It Very Country . We Need To Be Near Stores, Resturants , Work

Stick to the larger cities and towns if you need those kinds of things. Once outside the city limits mostly all of SC is "country". You are not going to find much if any work in the smaller rural towns. Most small rural SC towns are some of the poorest.

I'm not familiar with Catawba, but I believe it is an Indian Reservation.

I just happen to be through there today.....it's located about as far as you can go and still be in York County. Granted you are in need of a change...but this area is very rural...not that Catawba is bad...it just might be more of a shock for you...versus a change (I think you mentioned you are from L.I.) I'm pretty sure the largest employer out in Catawba, SC is Bowater Inc. (coated mech. paper mill-suppose to be one of the largest in the world). There is the Catawba Indian Reservation but this happens to be in a different location. Rock Hill would be the closest large town and that would be apx. a 15 to 20 minute drive.
