Donna, someone answered your question above, said there's a place in Charleston.
Upstate, why so sour on northerners? I've read several of your posts now and every one of them spits bitterness towards northerners. How come? We aren't all like the few you've met you know. Please don't put us all in the same box.

I live in Moore and I've been trying to find a dominican stylist near hear for my daughter. I've tried a few different black hair stylists, and I'm not satisfied. Her hair was breaking so I've had to cut it from middle of the back length to above the shoulder. Can anyone help???

They are okay; but there is only one lady in the shop that does hair and she comes in late sometimes. They are definitley not like the shops in Florida. I am still searching.

Hey ladies! So true, Salon Latino in North Charleston is good, but be prepared to waaaaait! I hooked up with a puertorican woman in Charleston called AfroVida and she has a big inventory of dominican products and deep conditioners at great price. AfroVida delivers all over Charleston, I found her on myspace and she has bunches of customers. Google her. If I cant get to the dominicans I wash and deep condition at home and then go to any other salon only for a rollerset and wrap. Even though is not the "blowout" it works and my hair is not abused. I usually "tweak" it a little with the roundbrush at home after the wrap. One thing is true: Stylists in Charleston, -no matter if "black" or "white"- dont know how to use the round brush! Ugh!! And always, always go to the dominicans for your relaxer. Hope this helps!!
