Donna, someone answered your question above, said there's a place in Charleston.
Upstate, why so sour on northerners? I've read several of your posts now and every one of them spits bitterness towards northerners. How come? We aren't all like the few you've met you know. Please don't put us all in the same box.

I live in Moore and I've been trying to find a dominican stylist near hear for my daughter. I've tried a few different black hair stylists, and I'm not satisfied. Her hair was breaking so I've had to cut it from middle of the back length to above the shoulder. Can anyone help???

They are okay; but there is only one lady in the shop that does hair and she comes in late sometimes. They are definitley not like the shops in Florida. I am still searching.

There is a salon on Hwy 78 in Ladson, SC called Emely's. It's in the Piggly Wiggly shopping center. I've been 3 times and love it. It's small, not crowded. I bring my own shampoo and conditioner, only get my roots blown out, then have my hair wrapped up. I was impressed that the salon was not smokey from the hair dryers! There is no smell if burning hair. They also use light oil sheen before wrapping my hair up. I was also impressed to see that on my 1st visit, I was the only relaxed head in the salon. Check it out...btw-they only take cash.
