Question Housing Options

My husband and I are planing to move south in approx. 1 yr. and are looking to buy but agree it may be wise to rent first and scout different areas. We would like to rent apt/home in nice area with some luxuries. Can anyone offer advice on options for renting short term if possible?

It depends on which area in SC you're looking to rent/live. The Charleston SC area is a wonderful place to live. I'd certainly recommend checking into the areas in and around Charleston.

Depending upon what area, there are plenty of houses that are available for rent and are listed in the papers everyday. I moved from NY 7 years ago and I love the the slower pace of life. I don't want to even be near what they consider a large city down here.
