Thank you Shelly, sny of the streets in the downtown area near the police department are bad news, I lived on W.hampton for alot of years and had my house broken in to I dont know how many times, add Haynesworth church street Calhoun anywhere near the old pigeon plant, all the way up almost till ya get to where the old wal mart was is bad news area,
the job market stinks, the local government is counting on the military golden egg that is supposed to bring in about 85,000 more people from what I have heard,
There is absolutely nothing for kids to do, they did build an rc car track and a small skate board facility for the kids near Shaw Field but other than that you can plan on your kids finding some trouble to get into..
and for those thats lookin for a place here I have right at 6 acres convenient to shaw and town less than 15 minutes to each for sale
Just Off Pinewood road last appraisal was 8k for land that wouldnt perk and holds water most of the years we get regular rain, well Mine perks has about a 3/4 acre pond...
It does have a double wide mobile home on it that needs demoed,But hey we the mobile home capital of the world lol I hate to break tradition...LOL

Don't live in the town, live in the county and commute to work. That's the easy solution and works for me. East Liberty is boring and safe during the day. I don't go there at night because I don't have reason to.
