How easy is it to get a job at a Hotel for Front Desk? What type of pay are we usually talking? I am looking at Greenville, Columbia, or Charleston area. I have found some good deals on Real Estate, and believe that I would be happiest. Also, what part of the state is the "coolest" in terms of temperature? When responding, I would prefer someone who is working at the Front Desk, who would be so kind to divulge there hourly wage. I need numbers not "Wages are good", that means nothing to me. I make $8.50 now, which is horrible, and I would expect about the same there, as it's not an up and coming state, but there are more pros then cons.

wow, you're awfully demanding. I don't know if I can live up to your expectations.

based on my experience:

Cool weather:
1. Greenville
2. Charleston
3. Columbia

Number of hotels:
1. Charleston
2. Columbia
3. Greenville

I don't know how many hotel front desk workers come to this site, but my guess would be........oh, like none. I can tell you though that people usually find the pay in Charleston to be lower than expected, and even if you could get more than your current pay, living in Charleston is expensive and probably would still be a struggle for you financially.

I agree there. $8.50 wont get anything. Whats the cheapest houses there? If they are $50k, youd need around $15 an hour wage by my math.
