John King could have shut him up with a simple follow-up.
"Mr. Gingrich this would not be an issue save for you signing fealty pledges to the sanctity of marriage. Can you explain that?"

CNN needs to shut John King up ... when he covered the White House during the Clinton years ... he was reporting on the Clinton/Monica event and stood outside the White House crying, sobbing and attempting to report.
The first question of the debate was uncalled for ... South Carolina has one of the highest unemployment rates in the nation, the economy is in the toilet, gasoline prices on the rise, NLRB is trying to stop Boeing (jobs.) Homes are being foreclosed on daily, have you priced groceries lately, Iran is a pending threat to us along with their buddies Chavez and Castro ... the Feds are suing SC over photo voter ID and the new immigration law ... and John King opens the debate with that question.
Screwing around has been around forever in Washington. FDR & Lucy, Mr. Weiner & his wiener, Bill & Monica, Larry Craig the restroom foot tapping, Gary Hart & Donna Rice, Mark Foley & his love for little boys, JFK and Marilyn.
We have become immune to this behavior ... YES IT'S WRONG!! Mitt cannot win this election. Ron Paul can't defeat Obama ... Ron Paul needs to move out of the way and give his son Rand Paul a chance at the presidency. Rand Paul would have been an excellent candidate but daddy won't go away. Rick Santorum is a nice guy but he can't beat Obama.
Perhaps Newt can't win either but he is the GOP's best bet to do battle with Obama. I can see Romney now in a debate with Obama ending up agreeing with him . The way he likes to flip flop.
I don't see Newt screwing around again ... number 3 is glued to his side or else nearby watching, watching .... ain't no woman gonna take her man.

I believe Paul would wipe the floor with Obama. His wittiness and common sense would win over the people. Don't get me wrong, Obama might get a good amount of support... but the ads Paul will run will do Obama in for good.
Anyone remember the video of Obama promising the first thing he would do once he got into office was bring our troops home?
Paul has a record of being right about almost every single economic and war situation we've been in for the last 20 years.
BUT, my gut feeling is the MSM doesn't want Paul, the Feds don't want Paul, and just about every government-ran organization doesn't want Paul.
If he gets elected, he will meet his fate soon afterwards. It happened to Abe Lincoln and JFK who fought against big banks of America.

As we all know the Dems will vote for Obama no matter what and the Repubs will vote for [whoever it is] no matter what.
It will be all about whether the independents fall for his hope and change spell again. I am not sure if they will or not. I know a fair share of Independents who voted Obama last time. Every single one of them told me long ago they had regret about their vote and would not do it again under any circumstances. If that is any indicator then Obama could have a tough time.
There is also plenty of time for Obama to move closer to the middle on a few things to try and fool people and he already has on a couple things. Now it sounds like the Keystone pipeline will be approved just in time for the election. The real problem will be if Obama gets re-elected. If that happens, the Independents will see a whole new meaning to the term "liberal" along with the rest of the country. That I suppose is one downside to term limits.
I like Ron Paul, may even vote for him tomorrow. I just do not think his foreign policy views make sense in this age. Also, it seems like his solution to everything is to just shut it down. I would like to see government reduced greatly but we do need government for some things.
The biggest problem we face though is that most voters are just plain uninformed and they have a memory span of 30 days. So many people just go press a button because someone told them a particular canidate was "cool". Many times they do not even know the policies. I heard someone in a diner a few weeks back saying he hopes Obama is re-elected so he can keep shrinking government because he is tired of all the gov't rules and regulations.

Alright everyone! cast out your vote. when i open this poll, i set the closing date to be the 21st which is when the primary is over for South Carolina.
Just wanted to say that as people get older, we slow down and things go downhill, so for an old guy like Ron Paul to still have the energy to run for president is very admirable. The guy is still sharp, he is old, but he's still hard as a rock. Those other guys got nothing on Paul!
Rick Perry is out! I think that next guy is going to be Rick Santorum

Number 3 needs a nose job too. If you will recall in the beginning when their first campaign staff walked out ... a speech had been scheduled for like 8 or 9am ... she was upset as she has to have her make-up person in to do her make-up and her hair stylist in to do her hair and could not be ready until at least 11am.
Did you see "Steel Magnolias" ... Shelby (Julia Roberts) said her mom's (Sally Field) hair looked like a brown football helmet. Number 3 looks sort of like a helmet. Not being mean here either but she is real plastic looking.
I have no problem with Newt ... nothing to do with his situation as I will be up bright and early and cast my ballot.
But ... when a man cheats on his wife ... then leaves said wife for the other woman ... how does the other woman ever trust him? Number 3 does keep an eagle eye on the man.

Ron Paul needs to move out of the way and let his son Rand make a run for the presidency. As long as the old man hangs in there hoping and praying to be President his son will not run.
Personally I do not think the GOP will allow Ron Paul to be the GOP nominee for President ... they will do something to stop it. He's not what they want, I'm speaking of the upper echelon that controls the GOP.
