Default Too good to be true?

Well my friend got back from a family reunion in Easley and he is now convinced that he is moving there. He has also told me about the area and I am seriously looking to get out of Orlando and head over there myself for a fresh start. Here is what he has found out. We are looking into getting a mobile home which according to the websites he is searching they go for about $200/month. He has also said that pay seems to be better there than Orlando, my philisphy on this is because Orlando is so saturated with people that most have 2-3 jobs just to get by, and they will work for cheap. He confirmed this in his field (fast food general manager)., but I was curious what the other fields are like. I currently work Security at $9/hr and figure I can make due with that same wage in SC, but the catch is getting a job as soon as I get up there or I am pretty screwed. I have worked retail, security, and long ago, IT when I was in the Marines.

So how is the area of Easley, supposedly it is 20 minutes from greenville, and we are both the type that like to go out and play pool and darts at the local places around here. I know it wont be big city life but I am just looking for more of a life where the fun is still close by without the crowdedness.

Well sorry for the rambling, but I would love to move up there but I am weary of the "grass is always greener" syndrome and dont want to fall victim to it. Any pointers or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Easley is pretty nice and close to Greenville. Greenville will surely meet your nightlife requirements. I can't say what the housing cost is but its not bad, you can survive on one job. There are a variety of industries here, a lot of manufacturing, engineering, and healthcare. I can't imagine you would have too much trouble finding a job. Come visit Greenville/Easley, you'll fall in love with it.
