We are looking to relocate within the next year or so from Ohio. We lived in Rock Hill from 2008-2009 but moved back to be closer to family. Right now we are looking around for a new area, somewhere within an hour or so of the beach. My husband is in the HVAC/Refrigeration field and I stay at home with our 3 young children. The most important things we are looking for are:
-a safe, smaller community (not super small but not a big city)
-great school system or access to good private schools
-hour to hour and a half drive to beach
-a christian, charismatic/non-denominational, spirit filled church (a larger church is ideal)
-fairly priced housing (we will rent for a year or two before deciding to buy in the area)
-family friendly activities around town or nearby
Any ideas/suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!
Summerville, SC, just oustide Charleston, sounds like the place for you.
I would also include the Lexington/Irmo and suburban Northeast areas near Columbia, but that might be too long of a drive to the beach for you (2 hours as opposed to an hour or less).
