I'd say no one party has a lock on racism, nor does any one race have a lock on racism.
Racism is not White voting for White nor Black voting for Black. It is the refusal to vote for one based on color as sexism is the refusal to vote for one based on their sex.

One thing is true. The Democrats made it interesting in 2008 with a black man and a white woman....got to give them credit for that..........LOL

PRECISELY. It's crazy how people can say Blacks are "racist" for supporting Obama in large numbers when a) we've willingly supported White candidates in the past, even over Black candidates (re 2004 Democratic primaries with Al Sharpton as a candidate) and b) Blacks were solidly behind Hillary even after Obama announced his candidacy and it took time for Blacks to warm to him.

Also.. you will find that many SC voters are "switch hitters" They will vote Democrat for local government elections and vote Republican on the state and national level.. Since all politics is generally local... many elections on the local level are "non partisan" which doesnt require one to be on a ticket or go through the political primaries.. This allows RINOs and DINOs to run amuck and cater to whatever constituency that will have them...You can have a conservative white Mayor that may be leaning GOP elected in a small town/city that may be predominately African American and democrat... it just depends on how that Mayor plays in the local political scene to the residents of that respective community. That same Mayor may walk lock step with the GOP on national issues but skew their position locally to maintain their office.

Especially among the so called african american "leaders" who felt that he had not paid his dues.. Many young post civil rights african americans began migrate to Obama before some of their parents and the "old school" did.

Maybe because South Carolina is one of the least educated states in America. Dumb people are dumb voters.

Except when conservative, Southern, white people vote against a bi-racial Presidential candidate because they sincerely disagree with his/her political stance. They have been called "racist" as well, despite the fact that they typically vote against liberal candidates regardless of skin tone and/or ethnicity.

2. The rich are going to continue getting tax breaks, but as usual, will not produce any jobs. It's a curious strategy considering it's never been shown to work. I think it mainly streams from who he's in bed with and the fact that those same people tried to take the country over in the 30s or 40s when Roosevelt imposed very high taxes and was very tough on the wealthy/big businesses. These guys are not the chief job creators. The ones who spend the money that stimulates the economy, the middle class, is.
How do you figure or prove your theory? Who is Mitt in bed with? You don't think Obama is in bed with organizations? How many jobs did Obama create prior to becoming President...how many since?

3. He wants to take away the subsidy for Amtrak, despite the fact that it's much more profitable than the road network and gets far less money. If Amtrak had to be privately funded and truely go private, service would likely terminate everywhere except between Washington and NY. We should be working to encourage more public transportation like Japan, China, and most European countries do. The worst thing we ever did was monopolize the car.
You have always been for big government. Wanting highways built all over the upstate, trains, etc... Romney wants to Privatize Amtrak — Savings: $1.6 Billion. Despite requirement that Amtrak operate on a for-profit basis, it continues to receive about $1.6 billion in taxpayer funds each year. Forty-one of Amtrak’s 44 routes lost money in 2008 with losses ranging from $5 to $462 per passenger.

Energy | Mitt Romney for President. Again you are not correct. Read for yourself. Also please provide results on Obama's current energy plan. (50 Obama supported companies are either bankrupt or heading there...wasting billions of taxpayer money).

I would be willing to listen if you can actually back up your statements with truthful facts.

This is just my 2 cents but I think we are all capable of regurgitating the information provided by the campaigns of the individuals that we support but that does not necessarily make all of that information true and/or relevant.

Another good point. It took a long time for the "old guard" to come around, one major reason being that they didn't think it could happen.

Good point....and about 95 percent of black voters did "migrate" to Obama by primary election day. What if the 45 percent of white voters that voted for Obama migrated away from him and over to Hillary so that she received 95 percent of the white vote? Can you imagine the cries of racism that we would have heard?

Anyway you slice it, racist voting exist to a strong degree, in the black community:

2008 Democratic primary
Black vote...95 percent to Obama
White vote.....split about 55 / 45 for Hillary / Obama

Numbers do not lie. There was racist voting going on in 2008 and it had nothing to do with the Republican party.
