Wow, just wow. So sad to see this kind of racism is still around in SC. I hope anyone and everyone that would think of going to this Columbia area restaurant will boycott the place. This kind of attitude needs to be erased.

What's so racist about the T shirt?
I don't see anything wrong. I actually like the message.
I don't believe they contributed that much to the state of Arizona.
What the idiot writer forgot to put was the money spent on Medicaid, housing, and food stamps for illegals.

That's only a couple of miles from the 644 Columbia area Time Warner Cable jobs just announced.

Doesn't strike me as racist either. Mexicans aren't of a race; some are white, many are Indians, most are mixed, some are even Black. Seems anti illegal immigrant and well it is fine to be anti criminal.

gsupstate,
I want you to read the replies to this post.
See?
It is abounding in South Carolina.
They can't even see it.
Sad though, because not everyone is like that.
Just the people who don't understand your post.

^^ What Butterfly said. ^^

Unfortunately, it's easy to find this attitude around SC, because the illegal alien issue always tends to get wound into the "hate the poor" attitude spewed by so many of the local conservative fringe groups. I guess the good news is that they're down from 4 to 1 restaurant, but I suspect that's more a reflection of their food quality than their attitudes.

But why are these t-shirts being sold in the Columbia area? Everyone on this forum always talks about how liberal and progressive Columbia is.

I'm sure you've also seen Columbia posters talk about how West Columbia and Lexington County are as conservative as Greenville County, too, or something like that. No one on here has ever tooted the liberal horn for anything west of the Congaree.
