Default Quiet in North Myrtle Beach

Does it ever quiet down in North Myrtle Beach, esp. on Rt 17? Only two years ago, it was a lot quieter. Then I went to Sunset Beach and it was crowded. When did this all happen?

So many folks have discovered our little slic eof heaven.. and I dare say there is no turning back. Places change and evolve. Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle beach and the surrounding areas are not isolated nor protected in this regard...

I just got back to Southern California from visiting my sister in N. Myrtle Beach. While I was there we went to both Sunset Beach and Ocean Isle Beach and both were wonderful...very few people. You all who live near these beaches are very fortunate. I couldn't get over how friendly and polite the people are and how easy it is to get around without a lot of traffic. I know it's the off season, but still...WOW!!! This was just last week and let me tell you...if it had been a California beach it wouldn't have been so deserted...even in November!

We don't have as many fulltime residents as California, not even close.

nor do we have that same climate.. ;-)

That's ok.. you folks over on the west coast can have your crowded beaches in November..

I'll take the more private beaches here and enjoy them mostly by myself..

Default thanks

I've noticed an increase in traffic in north myrtle beach too. Even the Sunset beach parking lot was filled. A few years ago, there were barely three cars. Oh well.

I hope there are some private beaches I can find to frequent as a resident.

Question: and dog owners please don't be offended

"Are dogs always allowed on a leash on the beach? And what about their pooping?" I kinda liked it when they weren't.
