yeah cuz of punt return muffs and a weak call on that boyd fumble CLemson beat UGA who beat you. You can't play the head to head matchup and win, logically. If you are b etter, then beat teams we beat. SC doesn't though. LSU, UGA, Auburn in recent years. We didn't lose to Tenn type team this year or last . THis year our defense is going to dominate SC. The Clemson Slayer wont' be converting on 3rd and 20's all game on us. lol That was like only good game he's ever played and it came against us. lol We have a monkey on our back. The Reverse Chicken Curse? lol FSU would have ran it down SC's throat this year if UGA did. lol You guys act like you are on FSU's level. SHaw was like 1-7 against defenses that good.

WHAT??? FSU was getting blown out by Auburn, and was truly lucky to get the win. FSU wasn't even the best team in Florida the last 10 years, a couple of those UF teams with Tebow, Percy Harvin and all those NFL guys on defense would have beat them.

WHen they faced a GOOD offense- like Auburn- we saw that they cant stop the run. And when you pressure Winston, he gets scared and freezes. Only problem is.....the only team all year with a DL good enough to pressure him was Auburn.

Auburn had the 2 DB's who missed that tackle on the FSU WR in the 4th quarter that he took for like 50 yards and set up the game winning TD with less than 1:00 left. If Auburn makes that tackle, they beat FSU. FSU is #1, and was a very good team. But best in history? PLEASE save me the nonsense on that one.

Their only "weakness" was that they didnt' have anyone better than Clemson to test them this year before they faced Auburn.

If college football offered teams a chance at redemption, Clemson would have beat FSU. We had the talent to do so. They just played better one game. If we played FSU 10 times we'd win 5 or it would be 6-4 or 4-6 College basketball is better b/c the season is longer and you really learn who is best. The sample size is too small in football. Clemson has the best or one of the best records against FSU in last 10, 11, 12 years. Just beat them 2 years ago. Reality is you wouldn't be going on about the FSU game if you didn't expect Clemson to play better. You have high expections for Clemson because it has a consistently good program relative to most others. SC knows that more than anybody. lol

I sure hope your head coach isn't gullible enough to spew crap like that.

Oh wait...

Yup, any team with Boyd and Watkins and Humprhies and Bryant and Vic Beasley is capable of beating FSU. Miami lost to Milwauke last year in first game of first round of playoffs. Milwauke better? lol By your logic, yes. Tenn beat SC, is Tenn better? Must be. lol By the way, our best secondary player Breeland was out for the SC game, he NFL bound.

I'm guessing FSU happy they didn't have to play Clemson again but rather Duke in ACC title game. Winston was real tight in that game compared to how he played during the season. He was the leader of our secondary and I think he would had them more organized and prevented those wildcat throw completions and helped contain lil Shaw on his desparation runs which seemed like every down.

They were better than us that day. So they earned bragging rights. But we wound up with a better record against a comparably tough schedule and were higher ranked at the end of the year than they were. So, safe to say we had a better season than Tenn.

Against clemson, not only did SC win the head to head, and therefore earned bragging rights, they wound up with the same record against a tougher schedule (see many posts ago for proof to that effect) and, whether you agree with it or not, wound up ranked higher. Safe to say then that SC had at least a slightly better season than clemson.

South Carolina has never won a national championship either. The Gamecocks don't have much of a winning history in football.

This is dumb......anyone with the slightest knowledge of NCAA rules knows that the BCS was set up to keep the SEC from dominating the big bowl games. Thus, being in a BCS game is meaningless since it does not contain the nation's best teams. Funny that in spite of being in a BCS game, Carolina still makes 20% more in revenue than the upstate school.

Besides, being a top 5 team means more than a trophy.
