Here is that article, i have put some key comments in bold.:

State funding for the Highway Patrol was $52.7 million in 2008-09, and in the current year is $43.2 million. It hit a low of $37 million in 2009-10. Lean times in the wake of the Great Recession forced the state to cut funding for most departments and agencies.
.
It should be encouraging to state residents that, even as the number of state troopers has dwindled, this is shaping up to be one of the safest years on South Carolina’s highways in more than three decades. That improvement has come in large measure because of greater seatbelt use and increased awareness about the dangers of distracted and impaired driving.

So you are complaining bout the highway patrol only getting 43.2 million dollars in one year to patrol the highways? lol You have no concept of money like most Democrats. To you that is "cutting back". lol

And then the liberal write admits that it was some of the safest years in SC despite the "cutbacks" which undermines his dumb point. LOL

The thing about you liberals is you think money grows in trees. We are in a tough time right now in this country. The economy sucks. There do have to be cutbacks in some stuff. That's life. That's being an adult. Yo

And you have no clue what SCHP does. The cutbacks are on reason I-26 is so dangerous now. And part of the reason the roads are safer is that counties and cities are working far more wrecks now since SCHP is short staffed. Which means less time for them to investigate actual crimes in their county/city. Hence SC's constant presence as one of the nation's worst crime rates.

I-26 is dangerous? LOL

SC's crime rates has something to do with all the poor blacks commiting crimes b/c they on drugs and idiots in general.

The article you quoted said the highways are safer than ever after whining about the "cutbacks".

We don't have the money brother. We do have to cut back on some things. Sorry only 43.2 million dollars to patrol the streets. that is some austerity right there. lol

Lawmaker ‘steamed’ as Gov. Haley denies Order of Palmetto for school official who faced Alice Boland’s gun – The Post and Courier

Here is an article that talks about this Palmetto award thing. Sounds like a Democrat hack just trying to damage Haley by pitting two people under consideration for the award against each other. The funny thing is Haley awarded USC"s female basketball coach, despite being a Clemson grad. The other woman received a certificate of some sort, and the other woman congratulated the winner and didn't seem to have a problem with it.

For all your rage about Haley's facebook pic as being a political stunt, you sure fell for a political stunt on this thing. lol

Stavrinakis plays politics with the Order of the Palmetto | Haire of the Dog | Charleston City Paper

Here is a pretty good send-up of that Democratic hack who tried to play politics with the Order of the palmetto, b/c he thought it might help him get elected mayor of Charleston. lol

What should be a 4 or 5 page thread turns into a 17 page argument with Francis leading the way. No wonder issues facing this state are not easily solved!

Why should there be a 4 or 5 page limit on this thread? You just pulling stuff out out of your control freak azz. Nobody is forcing you to talk abou this issue or even read the thread. You can go post another million times on the Chick Fila Mauldin thread. lol

You feed a troll, the troll grows. Ignore a troll and it's back under the bridge with him.

(There's a reason we can't rely on anonymous message boards as a forum for meaningful policy discussion and implementation. I don't really buy that this guy's a legitimate moron, nor an actual, sanctioned political operative. He strikes me as a s**t-stirrer, and there's no point in helping him along. Understanding won't be possible, as obtuse belligerence is his raison d'etre.)

You are right. He lost me when he started accusing people of things he couldn't possibly know and bending what the rest of us post here. I don't see him anymore, so no skin off my back!

I've noticed that you never actually talk about the topic of any thread. Most of your posts are exactl like this, you come on and start mothering somebody and generaly act like a pretentious fool, which seems to be a trait of your liberal species.

You need to look how to talk to people rather than talk down to people.
