lol you gamechickens just summarazie all the CLemson arguments that you can't refute into this goofy cartoon and then you post that all the time as though it does refute us.
Agreed. Stop feeding the troll. Both teams had great years. No matter which side you're on, you can't talk sense to this guy.
I never said Sc didn't have some good years, just said they shouldn't be ranked as high as no. 4 nor is there enough evidence to say they are were better than Clemson this year if they lost to a team Clemson beat plus lost to Tenn.
Your SC fanboyism prevents you from being objective about something pretty obvious to real fans of football.
An entertaining if circular discussion. I've worked in major media for 20+ years, and the writers who vote in these polls take those selections seriously. There are differences of opinion (and they are opinions, not immutable truths), so the hundreds of voters collectively understand the respective teams far better than any individual fan(s).
We did play a tougher scehdue. we played no. 1 team in country, you didn't. You guys play Tenn, Ark, Miss State, Kentucky, Vanderbilt , plus top quarterbackless Florida and Missour and then want to talk about playing a tougher schedule. lol The toughest part of your schedule was us.
We beat Georgia, you lost to UGA, that negates your head to head matchup plus you had the worse loss of the two schools, to Tenn.
You mean 9-win, bowl winner Vanderbilt?
And bowl winner Miss State, who blasted the Conference USA Champion in their bowl?
You mean Kentucky, the team Clemson is .500 against this century?
Or Tennessee....whose trophy case lights would light Clemson's entire stadium?
Quarterbackless Florida...sure. But guess what, UF is 1-1 vs Florida State in the last 18 months. Clemson is not just 0-2....but has been flat embarrassed by FSU.
"Playing" the Number 1 team is different than "showing up, and being absolutely embarrassed on national television".
Guess who else has "played the number 1 team"?
USC played, and beat, #1 Alabama in 2010.
In 2009, opening game, Charleston Southern played #1 Florida.
Sorry buddy. At 11-2, both teams have equal records. So, when comparing the two teams, head to head matters. And right now, Steve Spurrier is paying taxes on Clemson, because he owns your asses.

OK Pelham, Francis, or whatever name you are going by this week.....
If Clemson and USC played again this week, on a neutral field, who would Vegas favor? Easy answer. USC by 4-5 points.
You're obsessed with the Tennessee game (A program that dwarfs Clemson's 20 year recent football history btw). But, Tennessee would probably be the 3rd best team in the ACC this year. Fact.
Georgia? Again, another program that over the past 20 years dwarfs Clemson's football history.....but, both were great games. USC lost off 3 plays. A horrible fumble by Shaw, 4th and goal at the 1 and not getting it in, and Clowney losing contain on the QB resulting in a 70 yd TD throw. In reality, USC probably would have beaten UGA by 10-14 points if not for 3 plays. Right? I mean....THAT is the logic you use explaining away Clemson's loss to USC.
And Clemson vs UGA? A botched field goal. A bad interception by Murray. 2 plays reverse and UGA wins.
Ah, but those plays aren't reversed are they? Plays happen. Like the miracle desperation bomb UT threw late to set up the game winning FG.
Plays count and plays matter. On field results are final.
USC didn't beat Clemson. Clemson beat Clemson how else could they have given the ball over as much as they did
Turnovers are part of the game, OK ? If there's one thing that the evil genius has done for Carolina, it's to stop beating ourselves ! No more stupid false starts, delays of game, the stupid penalties, the drive stoppers. and NO MORE TURNOVERS !! Was a time not long ago when Carolina outplayed opponents up and down the field but lost the game and ended up 7-5, 6-6 but this is the big difference in winning and losing those kinds; the little things
USC didn't beat Clemson. Clemson beat Clemson how else could they have given the ball over as much as they did
They didn't? Because I looked at the scoreboard, and USC had 31 points, Clemson had 17
Oh, btw, Shaw was in Charleston yesterday signing autographs, and he got offered a Clemson helmet to sign. May as well. He and the rest of the Gamecocks are paying taxes on Clemson anyway
What people forget about the Florida game is that they had a hell of a defense. Say what you will about the offense, but their D was stellar.
