Poor city also is larger and has a had an established team since it was wealthy. Also has a larger market pull then Greenville would have.

When the Panthers played in Clemson for 1 year while BofA stadium was under construction, they did well to get 50k to a game with a lot of free tickets. Face it, the market is not there. Be happy with Single A baseball.........one thing you will never hear said from Greenville, "that's it from Greenville, Sports Center is next" or "you are looking live at sold out Bon Secours Stadium in downtown Greenville"........you do hear that from Columbia.

And, to be honest, the Panthers begged to play at Carolina for the first season, we had a crazy AD at the time who refused to let them play at Williams-Brice. But, it was clear that the Panthers wanted to play in Columbia by a long shot.
The market isnl5 there BC people in SC prefer Clemson football to pro, plus Clemson is good drive for lot of SC residents on Sunday. Stadium in Grernville would be more realistic test.

NFL might not work in SC but not BC of income. People waste money on overpriced clothing here, they can buy some tickets

Even if it's overpriced clothing is actually useful.... a ticket is not.
