Question Rowesville, SC
I recently bought some property in Rowesville and I am looking to relocate in the next few years.

Can anyone give me some information on the area, what type of jobs are around….or any information in general. Anything would be appreciated!

Wow, I never would have thought I would have seen a post on here about my hometown (on my dad's side). Let's see, Rowesville is a town of about 300, and has been at that number for as long as I can remember. It's only about 10-15 minutes from Orangeburg, which is where the jobs can be found.

Default Rowesville area jobs
Thanks for your response! It really seems like a nice small town – very different from where I am now! The property I bought is right on McBow Dr, do you know anything about that area?

Do you know where I might be able to find local jobs in Orangeburg, such as newspapers, etc. I’ve been looking on monster and jobster because I want to get a feel for what is available in the area.

Also, how long does it take to get from Rowesville to Columbia? It seems like everyone I ask gives me a different time! Lol

Not sure where McBow Drive is, to be honest. But the town isn't big at all.

For jobs, check the local newspaper's website, thetandd.com. Orangeburg County has been struggling with high unemployment in a state with high unemployment, so the job market isn't the best. But the county has been making some gains lately.

Rowesville to Columbia is roughly a 45 minute drive.

Can anyone tell me about Oak Grove Plantation in the Rowesville area. My great-grandfather was born there in 1845. Family name was Robinson.
