Hmmm...I didn't say it was representative of the entirety of SC's population. And yes, everywhere has scary people, but not everywhere has a large percentage of scary vocal religious fanatics.

I myself am a christian (yes, born again christian), and yet even I found the christianexodus messages a little wierd, as well as disconcerting. That is pretty extreme I think. I agree with anyomous, I think it's wrong to impose God's ways/rules on the entire state. God provides free will....I choose to serve God....but someone else may choose not to. Ironically, that's their God-given right. I would also agree CE appears to be a cult and even tho I am a born again christian, that group even scares me....

And how did you come to that conclusion? And what do you consider a "large percentage" anyway? Was a survey conducted or something?

Religoin, keep it, I dont need friends like them.

I beleive 'to each thier own' and do no appreciate anyone being pushy of their own religion being superior to the religion of anyone else.
Would someone please provide proof that God has sent someone back here because they "Loved God Wrong"????? OH PLEASE!
One quote comes to mind that sums it all up for me:
"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."

I think this is more of a hoax or publicity thing...anyone remember that Libertarian plan to take-over a small state? That is what comes to mind after reading this..

Jim Jones (People's Temple) ... David Koresh (Waco) ... Marshall Applewhite (Heavens Gate) ... Sun Myung Moon (Unification Church) ... all come to mind ... I don't recall the Libertarian plan.

Amen!!!
Do what you want in your own home and let people Live their lives the way they wish! These people that want to legislate morality scare me more than any other group out there!

I think this is much ado about nothing. Two or three years after they first announced their plan, there are about a dozen of them living in the Anderson area. While much of South Carolina is conservative, it is hardly the most conservative state in the country. I'm much more uncomfortable in Tennessee and Alabama.

yup. If I remember correctly, Huckabee - the Baptist preacher - recently won Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama, but not South Carolina.
The Association of Religion Data Archives | ARDA Demographic Map
This is a good website where you can look up religous maps and statistics about SC.
