Hello All,

I would like to know if anyone lives in Seasons (located in Prince Creek, Murrell's Inlet) and could provide their perspective on what it is like to live there. Are you happy with your choice and if so why? Any issues/problems, etc. ? Trying to figure out the best place to retire and this community seems like it offers alot and in a very nice area.
Thanks in advance for your responses.

I had asked about this community 2 years ago as I was interested for myself. I got a few replies confirming that the amenities are good. The HOA fee was said the be $270/month, which is steep for the area. I think you should confirm that figure. The details are here in the Myrtle Beach sub-forum: Seasons at Prince Creek West

Default Seasons in Murrell's Inlet

Hello and thanks for your reply.
We have been to Seasons recently and they are in their last phase of building. While no community can be perfect, we thought the community looked very appealing. Some folks may think the HOA fee is high at $270.00. However, last month, we went again for another look at the development.
HOA fees have gone up to $325 a month but it includes items that you would need to pay out of pocket anyway. It includes lawn mowing, lawn edging, fertilizing, lawn pesticide application and lawn irrigation, basic cable, phone, monitored security system within your home, security guard, activities director and your trash pick up, we thought it was reasonable. After all, we' re from NJ and we pay dearly for those services.
Don't forget the indoor/outdoor pool and the other activities included within the community.
This may be THE place we chose to retire to but we still have some investigating to do. Still interested in speaking to some folks who are already there for their personal take on how those services are managed and the activities provided.
Many thanks,
R&J in NJ

Then you should re-post in the Myrtle Beach/Conway sub-forum. You are at the general South Carolina Forum.

I'm hoping you do receive some responses to your request. We are heading down to take a look at Seasons at Prince Creek in the next few weeks. We thought the HOA was high also until we factored in what you get for the services you mentioned.

The main problem I had with the community is that the houses are spaced so closely together that I would feel claustrophobic. However, if your can afford the larger homes, the houses are spaced further apart.

You are correct that $325 with all the services like cable, phone, security monitoring and lawncare is not too bad a price. I also suggest looking at re-sale homes on Realtor.com. There seem to be better prices and more privacy to the lots because of well-developed landscaping.
