Default Move in Year or so but where?

Hello,
We will be looking to relocate in a year or so. Like everyone else just tired of the cold long winter and the high cost of living. Me and my husband are in our mid 40's so there are a few things we are looking for. Would like to be near water weather it be a lake or ocean, not in a city but close enough for work. I am a Admin/Purchasing Assistant, hubby is truck driver. any suggestions?

Thanks

Default Charleston & Mount Pleasant Area

I moved here from the UK, it's a wonderful area. There are a lot of choices depending on your requirements. Some areas of Mount Pleasant aren't to expensive, Summerville as some nice areas. A lot depends on your price range for housing.

Well..

First off, please make sure you secure jobs BEFORE moving. If you don't then you will be in the same situation as hundreds of others, and its not easy getting out.

Anyway, as far as lakes go;

There is Clarks Hill lake North of Augusta, GA. It is remote, fairly undeveloped, and most of the area residents are in fact truck drivers. Augusta is not too far away for most of your major shopping ventures. McCormick, SC is located a few miles from the lake, and it has very affordable housing. Greenwood is not too far from it either. Greenwood gives you Wal-Mart, and some food places...

Second lake is Lake Greenwood. It is near Greenwood, SC which is not too small not too big...Its a railroad and trucking hub, the textile industry used to be big here. It is close to the lake, and Clarks Hill lake is just a few extra miles to the Southwest of it.

Third lake is Lake Murray, it is close to Columbia, SC. An ideal nearby town is Newberry, another mid-sized community with plenty of shopping and restaurant choices.

If you are interested in any of these 3 I can help you with detailed information and experiences from each one, just say the word..

Check out Anderson , S.C. We have a new home on the lake with just under an acre . Fishing & boat dock , 2,000 sq ft of living space on the main floor , all hard floors , double garage , full unfinished 2,000 sq ft basement with walk out to lake boat dock & fishing pier for under $300,000.00 . Home owner insurance less than $500. a year , low property taxes , no sales tax on unprepared food from stores . Were less than 5 miles from the city center with all one could ever ask for or need , great new medical facilities , lots of things to do , places to go everywhere..
