Default Moving Early '08

I will be moving to North Augusta, SC again after living in Fountain Inn, SC for a year and 3 months. The specific reason is for me to be closer to friends and to get a temporary job until summer when I join the Marine Corps.

I need some advice on an apartment or rental home that is affordable for 2 or 3 roommates. Preferably near either I-20 or I-520...I'd like to be kinda close to everything, but not in a busy area.

I'm Southern born and raised, so please do not start with "culture shock" since its all normal to me.

I would like some details on crime rates though. I know things were pretty bad from 2000-2006 when I was living there...but maybe things have changed?
