Default Interested in Land in SC

Not ever been to SC, What areas might you be able to find .50---2.5 acre of land to purchase for short money as investment for semi-retirement/retirement

Also what might the Winter be like ? We are from up in NE and want to get away from severe winters in retirement time...Thanks

nighthawk, you can find that size of land anywhere. What are you looking for - urban, suburban, rural, swamp, hills, beach, mountains.. ?

Winters aren't too bad. We don't have tropical-style winters (like South Florida), so you will have daytime highs in the 30/40's somewhat often. In my experience, the North vs. South difference has more to do with how long winter lasts.

Winters are mild here compared to the NE. You should look into Kershaw County (Lugoff, Camden, and Elgin). We have a blooming retiree population here (I'm an Investment Rep...I make it my business to keep a finger on that community's pulse)

The OP was from a year ago. I'm not sure they are still on here looking for this information.

I suggest Greenville...I live in Beaufort many like it here however it's begining to lose it's charm due to over development. Greenville is a very nice place close to the mountains and it's still affordable..good luck
