Wow! No meth labs in Sumter? Looks like an opportunity for a risky business proposition. Kinda like a "Breaking Bad" scenerio. Any chemistry teachers out there want to talk?

Kidding!

Methamphetamine laboratories remain a serious concern. Common day products like paint, windshield wash fluid, and absorbine are among those products state law requires identification for purchase because of their increased risks of danger and use in labs.

Columbia,
The meth labs on that map are the labs that were busted.
They are not the labs that aren't busted, or caught yet.
When the DEA gets close, they just move.
Sad really.
That stuff is terrible, it eats your body up.
It's out in the rural areas more than the congested areas
and for a reason.

Someone told me that while you have to show ID to buy Sudafed in SC, and your identity gets recorded, they don't cross-check the records between pharmacies. So there is nothing stopping people from going to 50 pharmacies and buying a box at each. Is this true?

Interesting, the upstate foothill area seems to be in the meth business. I guess they gave up on moonshine.

@gvsteve, DHEC is suppose to be checking those records every month and following up.

My favorite was the mobile meth lab we had burn up in I26 in North Charleston recently lmao. Caught fire while driving down the interstate. Sheez.
