The mountains in Western Virginia and the state of West Virginia often have snow in the winter. But that is quite a drive from where you are!

We are suppose to get up to 3 inches here in Charlotte Wednesday night & Thursday morning. Hope it comes. If it doesn't, the mountains & ski resorts are only 2hrs away!

It's snowing pretty heavy right now in Greenville. I have nearly 2 inches already and it is expected to last all night.

We only had about 2 inches in Charlotte before it turned to sleet then a cold rain.
Parents live west of Winston-Salem, NC (about 70 miles northeast of Charlotte) and they got 4 inches.

Greenville and the Upstate received several inches last night. Woke up to a beautiful morning! Depending on your location in the Upstate, some people received several inches of snow, plus ice. My yard is a winter wonderland!
