While Volvo would be great, it won't be on the level of Boeing and BMW due to the number of vehicles they sell on a yearly basis. I see it being on the level of Kia in Georgia and VW in Tennessee.

I would say so. I work for ZF in Gray Court, SC where we build the 9 HP transmissions for JLR so them building a plant here wouldn't be surprising.

Very cool. As long as it goes somewhere in South Carolina. I love Columbia dearly but I'm a cheerleader for our state as well when it comes to stuff like this.

I wonder why all these auto manufacturers are targeting Charleston, and not the Upstate, where there is already a huge concentration of supporting automotive companies because of BMW?
