Default Cash Community, SC

I live in Meriden, Ct and I recently purchase some land in what I was told was Society Hill. I have just found out that the property carries a Society Hill address but is some where between Society Hill and Cheraw.

I would appreciate any advice or information anyone can provide me with about Cash Community.

I would also like someone to explain to me how the property can be part of the County but is not a part of any town????

Thanks in advance for any information provided.

Where I live it is what they call "in the county". That means that I do not have to pay for city taxes, just county taxes. I have an Aiken address, but my house is not located in the city limit. I also do not receive city services, like garbage collection.

In the south, many areas are 'unincorporated'. We live in the most densely populated county in FL, but were only annexed into an actual town a few years ago. The property we are buying in SC is considered Traveler's Rest, but is actually 5 miles outside of the city limits.
