Default Retirement in SC?

We need to find a place to retire. Here are the requirements:

Moderate climate: Little or no snow, low humidity or at least not weeks of high humidity, dry but not desert-like.

Husband has emphysema, hence the requirements above.

For me? Air Conditioning works well. Affordable housing (open to both buying and renting - if buying, high end for us would be $150,000). Gambling is a plus. Bingo is a bigger plus.

Fishing. I hear there's a drought going on down there. And the lakes are empty. Please tell me this is not true.

Good medical centers would be extra nice. Actually it's our first priority.

We'll be retiring on about $65,000 a year. Not too bad. We won't be poor.

Any suggestions? Mountains are out. Elevation would be too high for someone with emphysema.

Thanks.
