Im in the upstate looking for a junkyard that allows you to pull your own parts. Every place around seems to pick everything for you and charge you more. i am willing to go as far as atlanta. Please help.

I asked this question on another forum, and got the following:
Hwy 135 outside of Easley
Hwy 25 north of Greenwood.
I don't live in the area (yet) so I can't vouch for these. Good luck, and happy junkin'!

There are two u-pull it places, both owned by the same company, near Columbia. One in Lexington, and the other is on Garners Ferry Road, near to the city. I think there may be a few more, around, but I'm sure they'd have what you're looking for.

The CMC places have closed. The place out in Lexington closed in February and the place out in Gaston closed last month.

All left in Columbia is the (new) Pull-A-Part on Monticello Road (check Pull-A-Part ):
5702 Monticello Rd
Columbia, SC 29203
(803) 255-2990

There's also a place just outside of Rock Hill: Carolina Salvage U-Pull-It--
1360 Flint Street Ext
Rock Hill, SC 29730
(803) 980-8900

Still looking for others in SC...

i am up near rockingham and are wondering the same thing. there don't seem to be to many salvage yards around. i would think there would be alot of them since there are so many old cars on the road. i have only found on yard near me.
