Cool. Have you ever lived in the South before? I've spent two-thirds of my adult life south of the Mason-Dixon Line. I b'leve you're gonna like Dixie...'cept for the summers.

SRS? Did you apply before relocating or after? Are you one of those Wackenhut has guarding the place or will you be working inside? People are curious about what the place is like and what it is to work there.

GoneWithTheWind, you've got it backwards: the southside is the nicer side of Aiken. Though, really, this is Aiken, not Atlanta: the north side isn't actually bad, it's just not as "nice" as the south.

New Ellenton is further south from Aiken and right next to the Savannah River Site. Very rural, but it's a small town that's going to stay put because of all the people who commute to work there.

For goodness sakes stay out of New Ellenton it is a hellhole. The north side will have the better land deals. But stay away from Crosland Park it is the city's ghetto and is really bad. Sally is out in the middle of nowhere so consider that only if you want a long ride to "town" The southside is the wealthy part of town and housing is very expensive ...
