The name is Powderhouse Pet Resort. Powderhouse Pet Resort - Boarding I was considering using their services but their hours don't agree with my work schedule.
PetSmart on Whiskey Road also has obedience training. I used PetSmart when I was in Michigan and was not impressed. Perhaps the one in Aiken might have better trainers.
Hi Agilitydogz. I, too, am thinking of relocating to Aiken and was wondering about dog agility. I'm competitive in AKC so I want more than pet agility. We're considering both North and South Carolina, and the agility training could be a deciding factor for me. Housing prices and taxes makes me lean to South Carolina, but the number of agility trials and access to training in North Carolina is a very strong pull. I'm currently training using the Greg Derrett/Susan Garrett system and am hopeful that I can find a trainer using the same system.
Hope I did this correctly, as this is my first post!
Try Aiken Dog Sports in Aiken. You can DM me for the phone number and addy. They have two huge grassy fenced training fields, complete AKC regulation equipment, stadium lighting for evening training and classes, offer group and private lessons and have an indoor training building (near completion).
Seems to me that the lady at the tack shop on Powderhouse Rd is into agility, but I can't for the life of me remember the name of her shop.
The Aiken Dog Training Club dissolved approx. 2-3 year ago. It is no longer in existance.
