My husband and I are currently living in PA. Hopefully in June - we are moving to South Carolina. We are coming down to Bluffton in April and plan to drive to Charleston for a day. We are leaning heavily on Bluffton.......but I'm wondering if the price of living, finding a job and place to live would be better in Charleston. Any advice good or bad on either city would be appreciate. We would like to be close to water if possible. Neither one of us have college degrees - so I'm very worried about finding jobs. Thanks for your help.

Bluffton/Beaufort is a very appealing place to live.. and relatively close to the water..but ... (theres always a but) finding meaningful work there may be difficult to find... on the other hand.. Charleston has a strong work environment ... but the city is expensive... one of the more expensive cities in the southeast... and generally the less expensive areas are quite a distance from the water.

A little more info about your situation would give this thread the opportunity to be more specific regarding your questions ... price range and work experience would be a good place to start.

I have 9 years experience in medical insurance and 15 years in medial billing. My husband has been a custodian at the local high school for 22 years. Neither one of us have a college degree.
