It's unfortunate Sears Holdings is using one of those horrible liquidation sale companies that bring in merchandise at inflated prices that aren't really a deal for the consumer.
I read in Sears Holdings' financial report that 80% of the Kmart leases expire in the next 5 years. It's going to be a long and winding liquidation of the entire company.

I am not seeing Kmart stores renewing their leases. I fear the Kmart banner will go off into the sunset before Sears.

I would agree with that. K-Mart is gone. Sears Holdings is really a real estate company, with the Sears stores they own the most valuable. They've already subdivided and are leasing Sears stores to places like Whole Foods and Forever 21.

Real estate is an operating unit of the business. The stores form the most important operating unit. They are in need of serious improvement. Sears Holdings should decide to focus solely on Sears instead of Kmart.

Many recently closed Kmart stores have been redeveloped quickly. That is good turnaround.
Has there been speculation of what Kmart #3621 could be redeveloped for?
