Yes. He definitely has issues, but he doesn't represent our whole area. I'm out here daily and most don't feel this way. You have people too far right and left. They're both nuts.

There are all types of people here. In a county of around 500k you're going to have different beliefs. No place is immune. I can tell you that our business community is vibrant and doesn't fit this stereotype. I can pick an incident from any area and stereotype it.

I really wish we could edit titles. The amount of grammatically illiterate titles I see on CD is nauseating.

As a democrat from the urban north I learned quickly 12 years ago to keep my ideology to myself down here. No bumper stickers, nothing on my car.

He should have towed her because it was a verbal agreement and he did not disclose his policy about not towing Bernie supporters and 'socialists' when it was set up.

I noticed the Greenville News included a picture of the sign in front of his business that has the address on it. They basically doxed him.

The Greenville News left out the following statement by Mr. Shupe, he may have said it after their reporting.

“[In] every business dealing in recent history with a socialist-minded person, I have not gotten paid,” Shupe told WHNS-TV. “Every time I deal with these people I get ‘Berned’ with an ‘e’ not a ‘u’.”

I think that he undermined his own point when he refused to tow her, because the private sector in this instance let her down. If he tows her, the private sector saved the day.

I do not see what this thread has to do about South Carolina.

The tow truck operator likely lost some customers, and gained customers who share his views.
