Blue Ridge
Wade Hampton
Powdersville
Riverside
Mauldin
TL Hanna
Wren

And which do you consider the best? Not only in terms of rankings, but teachers, actual experiences, safety, amount of fights, state of the actual building, etc. This will hopefully narrow my search down even more. If I should consider more, please let me know. I haven't heard much about the good districts in Spartanburg county but I'm interested in that as well

Any more districts to consider? When I visit in a few months, I want to focus on areas that feed into good schools so I can avoid wasting time on not so highly rated schools. I only have a few days to scout around

You may want to post this in the Greenville-Spartanburg forum as all these schools are located in the Upstate and I think you will get more feedback in that forum. I can help with a few of the locations:

Blue Ridge - Greer and Tigerville in Greenville County
Wade Hampton - Taylors and Eastside Greenville in Greenville County
Powdersville - Anderson County, Powdersville is a community that sits at the convergence of Greenville, Anderson, and Pickens counties
Riverside - Greer in Greenville County
Mauldin - Mauldin in Greenville County
TL Hanna - Anderson in Anderson County
Wren - Anderson County (not sure what towns)

Anderson School District One
Powdersville High School
Wren High School

Anderson School District Five
T. L. Hanna High School

Greenville County Schools
Blue Ridge High School
Mauldin High School
Riverside High School
Wade Hampton High School

You may gain more responses on Greenville County area schools in the "Greenville-Spartanurg Area" sub-forum. Anderson County area schools may get more responses in the "South Carolina" forum.

Are you looking to relocate to the Anderson area or the Greenville area?

I'm so torn on that because you are the second person to recommend it to me. Someone else recommended it to me in a PM but then other people say it's horrible...

Though I wasn't looking in those counties to begin with but what's good about Irmo that people are recommending it without it even being something I brought up?
....

Ohh, I think I know now. Dutch Fork Schools? I think I saw that school on UsaNews as a highly rated school

If you've narrowed your choices down to the Columbia area (which includes Irmo) and Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson area (which includes all the schools you listed), I think you really just need to visit the two areas if at all possible. They both have their pros and cons. I'm originally from Columbia but have currently lived in Greenville for three years. You will find there is a rivalry between these two areas and a lot of misconceptions on both sides. As a Columbia native, I used to have a negative image of Greenville until I moved here and found it to be a great place to live with a lot to offer. Now that I live in Greenville, I can say a lot of people here have a bad image of Columbia which just isn't accurate. Columbia is a great city. Personally, just by reading your other threads about your move, I feel you would find Greenville and it's surrounding areas more to what you're looking for but you really just need to visit both places.
