I wonder why it closed the 2-3x I went there there were always plenty of people. But I'm now a vegan and eating healthier so personally it's not a loss, just thinking about the people who worked there...

Ryan's has been a different restaurant since it was acquired by Buffets, Incorporated. Most Ryan's restaurants have shuttered. It is sad to see it go. The decrease in quality and service and the increase in price will not be missed.

I am very sorry to see all of these Ryan's restaurants continue to close. Along with Shoney's and Big Boy, it is one of those concepts I like that keeps declining. But apparently the Frisch's Big Boy franchise is now revitalizing in Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana, with plans to eventually expand into Tennessee. It has maintained a strong business, whereas Shoney's and the corporate Big Boy chain from Michigan have struggled. I would like to see Ryan's make a comeback, but they seem to have lost business to Golden Corral and have suffered mistakes since the buyout by Buffets Inc.

I do not know of any other steak and buffet restaurants in Greenwood. It would be nice if Golden Corral would consider returning to Greenwood with a better location.

There are a couple of other buffet restaurants in town, but not like Ryan's.

Buffets with unlimited steak are becoming limited. The demise of Ryan's makes Golden Corral the only restaurant.
