This was one of the best college football championship games that I have seen. Congrats Clemson!

If anyone hears about Coke doing a commemorative bottle for the 2016 National Championship.. Sees them anywhere or anything.. Post about it. I figure many of us have the 1981 bottles and would like to get a match for it.

Do you have a commemorative bottle from the 1982 probation?

Just looked back and realized a few fun stats to share...

Since 1980:
- Clemson has won just as many national championships as LSU, Ohio State, & Oklahoma.

- Clemson has won more national championships than Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn, Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, & Texas.

- Excluding Florida, Clemson has won the same amount of national titles as the SEC East combined.

Why would you exclude Florida?

Anyone who doesn't consider the 1981 championship tainted is deluding themselves. Clemson damn near got the death penalty their program was so corrupt. Were the NCAA to have practiced the same standards they do today, the wins from 1981 would have been stripped. Pell and Ford were cheaters, through and through.

It took me a minute to notice that 'since 1980' caveat.

To another poster- I think the 'excluding florida' portion is simply showing that the SEC East is really riding Florida's coattails in terms of accomplishments.

And Charlie Pell was supposedly a big mess but Danny Ford's main problem was a couple of rogue boosters. And what he said after a couple of adult beverages...

Since the ACC championship game began in '05, Clemson and Florida State have been responsible for 7 of the division's 8 wins and 9 out of 12 appearances, including 8 straight. Before the game, Florida State straight dominated, winning 11 of 14 championships from 1990 to 2005, including 9 straight, before the league expansion.

Just saying theres coattail riding all around. I'm sure other conferences have similar examples.

Just saw on WYFF noon news they are releasing commemorative cans the week of the 23rd to retailers.
Nothing about glass bottles. Do retailers even carry the glass bottles anymore?
