I'm sure by now you moved. However, my husband and I moved to Saint Stephen, SC a couple of years ago and absolutely love it. Yes, everything major, including good jobs, are about an hour away but we haven't regretted moving to the Saint Stephen area one bit. Did I mention that we absolutely LOVE it?!?!? Even though all the previous statements are true, Saint Stephen still has everything for the everyday life: Dentists, doctors, grocery store, post office, car repair, police station, fire station, mobile home supply store, pharmacy, golf course, gas stations, tax service etc. As for recreation, you'd be living in the Francis Marion National Forest, close to rivers, lakes, and the ocean. Can't comment about the schools as our children are grown up and on their own. If you are looking for a quiet life w/o all the hectic, Saint Stephen, SC is the place for you.
