Red face looking for shopping close to Honea path

We have recently visited and put in an offer on a house in Honea Path. I am concerned that the big shopping will be very far away. (walmart/lowes/kohls) these are all stores I am familiar with up here in northeat and I know there are some there also. Are there any plans for bigger shopping to come to that area or will I have to travel either to Anderson or Simpsonville?

I am not familiar with the town of Honea Path. I know where it is and I think you maybe right on with Anderson or Simpsonville.

Why did you choose Honea Path?

I'm also surprised you would make an offer on a home in such a small town if you were concerned about convenience to shopping.

Honea Path is a very nice area that I wouldn't mind owning a home and property in. There is a relatively high income level rate in that area, surprisingly. I love the large open properties with beautiful homes. The downtown area has plenty of potential to become a great small town to live in. Good shopping is definitely something you will have to travel to reach, but it will be worth the commute to live in such an area, if you like small towns and beautiful, large, open, rural areas.

I really am not concerned about the shopping. I really only make a trip once or twice a month to walmart for my big grocery shopping as it is. So It will be a little farther away. Mine is only about 8 miles away now. I was just wondering if there was anything like that planned to move close the that area.

We settled on Honea Path for the home that we found. Nice and big with a few acres to stretch out in. We looked all over the Upstate. Clemson, Central, Pacolet, Inman and this town has good schools, low crime, nice climate, everything we need is there, like grocery, subway, burger king, library, parks. Although up here in CT I do seem to have alot more close by, all those things will be within 30 minutes or so down there. I can't wait to get there and bask in the sun. I hear it was about 75 today. Only about 46 here. brrrrrr. Thanks for the relpies.

I know how you feel, momtorjm!

We started looking near there down into Greenwood. When we visited Greenwood it was so darn hot we decided there and then that Columbia was out of the question.

Call the Honea Path Chamber of Commerce. They might be able to fill you in.
