Relocating to work in Pageland, need help.
Could anyone tell me a nice place to live outside of Pageland, maybe 25-30 minutes at most from there? May transfer to the Wal-Mart DC there in about one year or so, just want some info on the area. Also a place with good schooling for my 4 year old son and jobs, for my wife? What kind of stores, malls, restaurants, etc are in that area? Is there a minimum wage there, can't seem to find it on the internet? Anyways what do they pay per hour at your local wal-mart? Also they say the cost of living is lower in the south, what is cheaper? BTW from PA. What are the averages of the utlities, property and school tax bills? Just looking for the basic info before we move, I dont want to move and be in a hole. Help would be appreciated, thanks a bunch.

Well, can't offer you a whole lot of information...other than to say I live about an hour from Pageland, SC and have driven through it a couple of times. Looks nice enough, pretty rural though. The closest towns (a bit larger) within an apx. 30 minute drive would probably be either Monroe, NC or Lancaster, SC....yet your still not talking shopping meccas here.
Pageland is probably best known for its Watermelon Festival!

I grew up in Ruby a small town about 15 miles from pageland it has public school and land goes for about 2000-3000 per acre in Chesterfield Co. Ruby has about 300 people no shopping but Pageland is close to Monroe NC and Charlotte NC you should be able to find those on the internet. As far as pageland schools they have a great private school called New Covenant.
