We have started looking at real estate online in the Greenville area, but it is difficult to navigate without knowing exactly which is the right neighborhood for us. Can someone help steer us to certain roads/streets/neighborhoods? This is what we are looking for:
We HATE subdivisions.
We want a somewhat private, country feel (but can be close to town) with a big yard, about an acre. We need a big house, (4+ bedrooms, 2+ baths, 2,000+ sq. ft., garage). We love historic neighborhoods, and houses with lots of character and charm. Front porches, porch swings,etc. We want to keep it around $185,000. It has to be in an area with good schools, for resale purposes. Of course low crime. We are both 33, and have 4 kids under the age of 12, with 1 more on the way, so we need a family friendly neighborhood. Please, no brick ranch homes! If you direct me to a neighborhood in the city limits, please tell me about the taxes and any other expenses (water, etc.) associated with living in the city. We prefer to be outside of the city limits, if at all possible. Am I dreaming????
Also, please tell us which roads/streets/neighborhoods to avoid.
My husband is a broker/owner with Re/Max, so we don't need to be directed to a realtor just yet. We just need a little direction.
