wow , that sunshine chick. she tells like it is. LOL. yeah , i was woundering what it was. by seeing all the signs on 95 i thought it was some big amusement park or something. they spend alot of money on billboards for it to be a **** hole, like snshine chick said. what are some fun places to see, like fleamarkets , parks. you know just some places that are a good way to spend a day or an afternoon ?

South of the Border is what it is - a kitschy tourist trap, but it is a fun place to stop for a little while to break up a long drive. I think sunshine was a tad harsh on them.

I agree with Baylovers. I've never stopped at the place, but it is very iconic with its billboards. I've been tempted to stop a time or two, but I rarely go that far north on 95.

Harsh, not a bit. Honestly, the place is a dump.
When we head to MB and drive by the place if any of my kids have to go to the bathroom I would rather find a tree along side the highway then allow them to go into those bathrooms. You can smell the place from the road.
Yes, I tell it like I see it and once you stop you will see what I mean.
Tourist trap with the dirtiest bathrooms I have ever saw in my life.
Only one dump worse, Sea Mist Resort in Myrtle Beach. Make sure you leave your light on all night if they stay in that place.
Better yet, if you see the place stop and check it out, make sure you hit the bathrooms, then you will see firsthand what I mean.
