My husband and I are looking for a home in Conway - our first choice was Jessica Lakes, but it's far to pricey for our budget. We are empty nesters, late 50's - schools are not important to us, but of course it's always a concern for selling in the future.
Saw Windsor Springs and it's in our price range - but haven't a clue other than their website. Any information - good - bad or indifferent would be appreciated. TIA~ |

Thanks.. although are "children" are in their 20's.. we are looking for a community that does have youngins~ it'll keep us young!
Just don't want to be looking at a community that is on a major highway.. (like the one off 501.. Carolina something or other...). |

There are several communities that sound like they fit your description. Jessica lakes has new construction and resale properties. Windsor Springs is new construction. What is your time frame? I live in Conway and there are lots of sub-divisions here in the $150,000 - $200,000 price range.
I see in your posts you're looking in NC and other areas of SC, so it seems you are trying to first narrow down what area to live perhaps? Might be easier to make a list of what type of area you would like, weather, taxes, shopping, beach etc...Then narrow it down from there. |

Rapture - thanks.
We have narrowed it.. near water.. but not on it..ocean perferred over lake...SC over NC.. We have been looking in NC/SC, as you mentioned..and got some very good feedback, so those areas we didn't visit and waste our $, time and a real estate agent..We actually went on a few "fact finding missions"..found areas we DON'T like - but some we do. On our last trip we ended up in MB for 2 days...we are familiar with the area as we vacationed there for 10 years when the kiddies were younger. We explored Southport, NC, Boiling Lakes and everything we could find and ended up in Conway. We did visit at Jessica Lakes - and found a beautiful home - but out of our price range. Houses there were $290,000.. never saw one for $200,000?? |
