You'll find horses in just about every rural area in SC. And even in the urban areas, there are folks that have horses.

The biggest difference between the Costal regions and the Upstate with regards to horses is probably the hills. There are very few hills in the costal regions, while the upstate is very hilly. Depending on your preference, you might prefer the flat lands for riding. Hills make it easier to make a pond. The costal regions may have bodies of water, but they're usually fairly shallow and marshy.

Camden, SC is a great area to grow up. I can say this because I am originally from the area. Yes, it is the oldest inlet town in SC, but it is so much more. It is a place where people travel to what is known as the Cup.

We need newcomers to compliment and help the community grow. You will find alot of people who have stayed for generations. And you will find some of the best antiques and restaurants. The art culture is like no other small town. And the hospital will be great.
