Affordable Rent for Retiree
I have recently relocated to Pawleys Island from Memphis, TN with my family. My mother plans to move here shortly, but having just retired she doesn't have a large monthly budget to pay rent with (my father messed up her retirement plans by straying after 40 years of marriage, not that I'm bitter). Is there any place between Georgetown and Myrtle Beach that is below $800 and safe I can look to find her an affordable place to rent? It would also need to accept pets as she has a beautiful Siberian Husky companion.
Thanks in advance for helping me get mom here!

Honestly, I don't know the exact prices but the apartments at Litchfield-Oaks seem nice. You can also check the classifieds at the Coastal Observer.
Welcome to Pawleys btw... I remember when you were looking around last year. I hope you've found Pawleys to be home.

Yes, I feel right at home in Pawleys, and am so very happy to be here. I just closed on my new home, and already feel like a local. Now, if I can get my mom settled here, life will be perfect. Thanks for all your help.

Well, apparently linking to information is considered advertising..... I guess the moderators want you to search on your own? Search for Litchfield Oaks & hopefully you can get the same results I did.
Can someone please inform me what the difference is between posting a link to a school or agency and posting a link to building complex? I didn't link to a particular real estae company... I don't own stock or any units in this complex, so how is it considered "advertising"? It has become a little over the top with all the editing, especially when you cannot help out a fellow board member with a shortcut.

I thought it was a link to a particular company. If you'd like to re-post it that will be fine.
